Rain Forest Express On the 8th of March our class, room 8 and half of rm. 13 went to the rainforest express in the wataikeres.The bus took so long, it felt like an hour!!!! When we got therewe got told the rules in the train. We started loading the train, then we wenton. It took about 5mins to get started.In the train we got to through 9 tunnels and 2 on the side. In one of the tunnels we got to see glowworms.I thought that they glow white or something.At the end of the train we saw the dam. But to meet the others[rm.8 rm.13] we had to walk up like 1000000 [well it felt like it] stairs.loved it. When we got there we had some lunch then set off on our walk. On our walk we kept missing all of the exits to the car park.I learnt that karoi snails are native to nz. By Hamish
Monday 14th March
On monday we went to Orakei Maere where the boys learnt a haka and the girls learnt a poi dance. We did this because of EOTC week.[Education outside the classroom]At the end we shared our haka and the girls shared their poi dance.
Tuesday 15th March
On Tuesday we went to Waiatarua reserve to do orienteering. We had to follow the map and find markers. My group did course 5. Some of our markers were missing. But we did it. When we finished we went straight to our water. The y5's enjoyed this so come back to see the other part of it. I learnt how to find my way on a map.Next time i want to use a compass.
Wednesday 16th March
On Wednesday we went to Tree adventures.We did lots of courses such as 1-4.These courses have obstacles up on different heights.(in trees)
Thursday 17th March On Thursday all of the year 5s went to the wave pools. It was really fun. It wasn't as good because we had to stay with our group. But as i said it was really fun.

On wednesday it was my birthday. I had a really fun time with people saying happy birthday to me For my birthday i got $150, New boardys, a shirt, A soccer rebounder, new soccer boots(NIKE), a kitten, a voucher,lego.
This phone is called the crank handle phone. You would have one party line that has about 8 people on it, if your speaking all at once people can hear your conversation.
